No that’s not a typo - I lost 20 pounds in the week following my son’s birth. 

 

I only gained 25 pounds, and I was expecting the last five pounds to magically fall off just like the first 20… but they didn’t.

Now couple that with the fact that I was comparing my body’s recovery to that of other women, and had lots of expectations of where I “should be,” and you’ve got a recipe for frustration and disappointment.
