Food is often a key part of holiday celebrations, and other people have desires and expectations about what or how much you "should" be eating.
Some people are food offerers - they simply want to make sure you're happy and enjoying yourself.
Then you have food pushers - these people tend to push food / drinks on you and there's a lot of pressure to eat and typically a lot of guilt (or other negative emotions) if you say 'no.'
