[00:00:02] Ready to lose 40 plus pounds without giving up happy hours, weekend brunches, or date nights. Then it's time to uncover the hidden link between binge eating and toxic relationships. And finally, break free from both. Welcome to the Hungry for Love podcast with Jillian Scott. Y' all ready? Let's go.
[00:00:24] Hey. Hey. Welcome back. And welcome to this very special episode called the 2020 Project. Stop fighting your body, Start healing your metabolism. Lose the next £20. Because if you're like most of the people that I work with, losing weight isn't the actual problem. You've lost weight before. The problem is that it keeps coming back. You can't lose the weight and actually keep it off long term. That is always the struggle. And every time you regain weight, it feels harder and more frustrating and more defeating than ever before.
[00:00:58] Not only is it harder from a mental, emotional standpoint, but physiologically, our bodies change. They adapt and they respond to what you were previously doing to restrict and lose the weight. And so this is why maybe the first or even second time you do a diet and you go hard, low carb or low calorie, and you start doing two a days and exercising, we have this metabolic adaptation to where now you years later, our bodies are like, oh, I remember that famine of 2018. We're not doing that again. And it now is going to fight and resist and hold on to stored weight. And at the end of the day, excess weight is rarely the root problem. Okay? Weight is often the indicator light that something deeper is going on in the body. There are hormonal imbalances or insulin resistance, chronic stress, unresolved trauma, nervous system dysregulation, inflammation, right? There are all of these things that are acting up on top of just our habits or emotional eating or binge eating habit or emotional dysregulation we feel from trauma and abuse in relationships, there are a variety of things that are going to impact the way our bodies respond.
[00:02:11] My goal here isn't just to help you lose the next £20, right? It's to help you understand why the weight keeps coming back, why it feels so hard to maintain and to keep the weight off. Because when we stop obsessing over the symptom and start addressing the cause, like the root cause, weight loss becomes the natural byproduct of healing instead of this constant uphill battle.
[00:02:37] So instead of trying to keep addressing the symptoms, right, it's like if you get headaches chronically and you're like, well, I just need to take away my headache, you can keep throwing ibuprofen or Tylenol at the symptom. But we also want to understand and identify. Why do you keep getting chronic headaches?
[00:02:53] Why does this keep coming up? What are the patterns? What can we learn? What can we recognize? What is driving it to begin with?
[00:03:00] And when we can now start to solve for that. It's like we don't need to keep trying to solve for the headache when we realize there's actually dehydration underneath it and we actually need to solve for that. So part of this is figuring out what's the real problem and let's go out and solve that, because when we have the real problem now, we can find the real solution, the right solution.
[00:03:24] Right now, if you're being really honest with yourself, you're likely exhausted trying to figure this all out on your own. Because it's a lot as a lot of conflicting and contradictory information about health and weight loss and food and habits and hormones and GLPs and all the things.
[00:03:42] But here are some things that I know to be true.
[00:03:45] Number one, you have lost weight before.
[00:03:48] The problem is that it doesn't stay off. And every time you regain it, it's like a stain on your humanity. It's like another layer of shame that you carry and that you hold on to.
[00:04:01] And the more times you try to lose the weight and you fail or you don't keep it off, the harder it is to keep trying again.
[00:04:10] And so often the strategies that used to work just aren't working anymore. So whether it was counting calories or carbs or fasting or exercising more, your body just doesn't seem to be responding the way that it used to.
[00:04:23] And I guarantee you're frustrated by the constant mental energy spent thinking about food and weight and your body and your clothes and whether you're doing enough.
[00:04:33] You've started wondering whether your metabolism is broken or your hormones are working against you or your body is betraying you, or if somehow you're failing despite your best efforts.
[00:04:44] And deep down, I know that you're afraid of staying stuck. You're afraid of getting your hopes up again only to end up right back where you started.
[00:04:53] There's this little fear on the inside of maybe you're the anomaly. Maybe you're going to be the one person who will never have this figured out.
[00:05:01] Maybe your body is just so completely busted and broken after years of trauma and abuse, maybe you're gonna be the one that can't do it. And there's this real fear of failure just as much as there's Fear of success. But we have this fear of being disappointed, fear of getting our hopes up. And a lot of times it's the fear of the shame of what if. This is once again another thing where I lose the weight, but I can't keep it off. And it just piles more and more shame on top.
[00:05:31] But what I also know to be true is that there are some key reasons why you haven't been able to keep the weight off.
[00:05:39] And so for some of you listening, you are doing everything right. You're eating well, you're exercising, you're prioritizing sleep, you're trying to decrease stress, drinking water, right? You feel like you're doing all the right things. And maybe you're even taking it up a notch. Maybe you're even like, I'm just. I'm gonna do it even harder. I'm gonna cut even more. I'm gonna.
[00:05:59] Even more.
[00:06:00] But you're still watching the scale climb, and hormones and insulin resistance and metabolic changes are working against you, right? So that's one camp, and you likely have 15 to 20 pounds to lose, despite your best efforts and all that you've been doing to keep it off.
[00:06:20] But there's another set.
[00:06:22] There's another group of women who have spent years trapped in cycles of dieting and emotional eating and starting over.
[00:06:29] And you struggle with habits. You struggle to get everything in line. You likely have more like 20 to 60 pounds of weight to lose. It's a little bit more.
[00:06:38] But you don't need another meal plan.
[00:06:41] You need help understanding the patterns that keep pulling you back into that same place.
[00:06:47] And the reality is that most of us are dealing with some combination of both, right? In some ways, we are doing certain things right. And in some ways, we're also struggling with consistency or mindset or habits or the emotional pull of food or alcohol.
[00:07:04] Most of us are also dealing with metabolic and hormonal issues and dysfunction, dysregulation.
[00:07:11] And so I'm going to help you figure out exactly what's going on in your body, what's driving the weight gain and holding on to excess weight for you, specifically, because this is not just a here's one approach that's supposed to work for everybody or here's the one problem that applies to every single person. Or this worked for me, so now it's gonna work for you, because I also don't believe in that. That can be really infuriating when you've got a coach. And I have worked with this type of person before as the client where I had a Coach that was like, this worked for me, so now this should work for you. Oh, I find that to be very triggering.
[00:07:47] And this is where I got to as a coach and recognizing, okay, I addressed the bulk of my food noise, if not all of it on my own through mindset and emotional regulation tools. And I did not need a GLP to help me with that. But I know that there are some people who do. There are some people who will really benefit from a personalized dose of the glp. One, to help them feel more in control of their emotions, to decrease anxiety, to feel more in control of their stress eating or their cravings or their food urges.
[00:08:17] Just because I didn't need that doesn't mean that you shouldn't take it or you shouldn't need it. That'd be like arguing with you about your eyesight and that you shouldn't need glasses. Because I don't need glasses, when actually it's just the reverse, I actually do need glasses. So that's not the best analogy. It's not the most accurate analogy, but. Right. It would be like saying, I don't need glasses, so therefore you shouldn't need them. What a bunch of bullshit.
[00:08:43] This is why we need very personalized processes and we need a methodology that we can then apply to ourselves as an individual. And that's what I'm doing. That's what I'm bringing. Because there are four pillars of true healing, of true weight loss.
[00:08:59] Weight loss isn't the result of finding the perfect diet or creating the perfect environment or decreasing all stress. Right. Because that is never gonna happen.
[00:09:09] What we want is an environment where your body feels safe and supported and able to function the way that it was designed. And because of toxins and hormones and trauma and abuse and things that are, quite frankly, out of our control, our bodies have adapted. They learn to survive. And thank goodness for that. Right? Thank goodness for these survival mechanisms that have kept us alive and kept us going. We are so amazingly wired, and I'm grateful for that. And I also recognize that sometimes that does some harm internally, sometimes there's dysregulation and dysfunction in the body that we now want to address.
[00:09:47] That's why the 2020 project focuses on four key areas that influence metabolism, appetite, energy, hormones, and ultimately long term weight regulation.
[00:09:59] So, number one, sustainable lifestyle integration, sustainable lifestyle habits.
[00:10:04] No meal plans, no perfection, no starting over. Every Monday, I'm going to help you create simple, realistic habits around nutrition and movement, sleep, hydration, sunlight and recovery that fit into your real life and can be maintained Long term, well after the program ends, things that you can take with you on weekends and holidays and vacations, no matter what life is doing.
[00:10:31] Number two, you need nervous system regulation, because a body stuck in survival mode will always struggle to thrive. We're going to address chronic stress, emotional patterns, diet, trauma, nervous system dysregulation, all the things that typically drive our cravings and emotional eating, as well as inflammation and metabolic dysfunction.
[00:10:52] Number three, we're going to look at hormonal support because your hormones don't operate in isolation.
[00:10:58] We're going to identify the hormonal and metabolic factors contributing to weight gain, fatigue, cravings, that stubborn belly fat, and poor recovery, while creating a personalized strategy to support your body through every stage of life.
[00:11:12] This is important because so often we're in our 40s, 50s, 60s, and we're looking back at what we did in a previous decade of life. We're looking at what we did five, 10, 15 years ago.
[00:11:26] What we did back in our 20s or even our 30s is not going to work now. And that's okay. But we need a new system and we need full hormonal support. We need to recognize where our body has gaps and where we can fill them, whether it's through supplements or sometimes medication, or potentially even hormone replacement therapy. But really having every tool at our fingertips to ensure that our bodies are functioning optimally, that's what we really want.
[00:11:55] And number four is strategic, personalized GLP1 guidance. GLP1 peptides are a tool. They are not the entire solution.
[00:12:05] So when appropriate, we're going to use a personalized approach to improve insulin sensitivity, reduce food noise, support metabolic healing to decrease inflammation in your brain and your body, and ultimately create momentum without relying solely on an external source like this peptide.
[00:12:26] And I want to highlight here that this is a personalized dosing approach.
[00:12:31] So a lot of clients are going to start with a microdosing protocol and we are going to find the minimal effective dose for your body.
[00:12:39] So the smallest dose that is still effective, which means for some people, you might only need 10 units of a peptide. For others, you might need 25.
[00:12:50] For others, you might need 35. I'm going to help you create a customized protocol that is going to work with your body, your unique needs, the specific peptide that you're using, and really meeting your body where you're at. So we are not going to arbitrarily increase.
[00:13:08] We are going to really make it effective and useful for your specific body.
[00:13:12] And this is something that takes time and practice and understanding to learn. But I'm going to teach you my methodology.
[00:13:19] So that way you can cycle on, you can cycle through different peptides to be able to lose the weight and to be able to create better metabolic function and then be able to cycle off. And whether you're cycling off completely or cycling onto a different peptide, there are strategies to ensure that you can do both effectively.
[00:13:40] And I'm going to guide you through this. So as we are cycling through peptides and or hormones, I'm helping you with your nervous system regulation and we are adjusting lifestyle habits and implementation and creating that long term consistency. These are all pieces of the same puzzle. We're just starting to put them in at different times.
[00:13:59] And you are going to meet yourself right where you're at today, not where you want to be six months from now, not where you want to be a year from now, but meeting yourself where you're at today, this summer, right now.
[00:14:12] And then we get 1% better day by day.
[00:14:15] 1%. That's it.
[00:14:17] No big massive jumps, no big quantum leaps and what you think you can do. We are looking for steady, sustainable weight loss. That means we want steady, sustainable habit change, steady, sustainable incremental increases to anything external, like hormones, supplements, peptides.
[00:14:38] So the 2020 project, what is it you might be wondering? This is a 20 week metabolic healing experience designed to help you stop fighting your body and lose the next 20 pounds. Within this process, you are going to receive access to the full 2020 project curriculum. You're going to get a personalized metabolic healing roadmap. You get one to two zoom coaching calls with me every single month, plus private boxer coaching with me Monday through Friday.
[00:15:06] So this is a private coaching container where a lot of it can be asynchronous. As we go through the summer and into the fall, into the holidays, everybody's schedules are so different. We have different work schedules, different time zones, all of these different challenges that we're working with and trying to find. One day and time every week that we can meet on a Zoom call can sometimes feel a little burdensome. And so to alleviate that burden, I've decreased the reliance on Zoom and really put the bulk of our focus on Voxer, which is where we can send voice or text messages and you can send them to me and I'll respond Monday through Friday within 24 hours.
[00:15:45] So whether you're working through a craving or an urge, whether your ex has done something that has just you the f off, whether you have questions about dosing hormones, your test results, lab results, anything like that, we are going to be able to go through that in real time. And it's like you've got me in your back pocket because you've got your phone typically in your back pocket.
[00:16:07] So whether you're on your way to work or coming home or washing the dishes at the kitchen sink, you can just turn this on and you can send me a message or listen to my response to you.
[00:16:17] So I love this. I love the freedom that it creates. You're also going to get a hormone metabolism and Lifestyle review, strategic GLP1 guidance and support if appropriate.
[00:16:29] You'll get lab interpretation and recommendations, ongoing accountability and troubleshooting, and lifetime access to program materials and future updates.
[00:16:40] So why 20 weeks? What is so special about that? And the reality is there's nothing special necessarily about 20 weeks. But what I know is that you are tired of quick fixes that don't actually last.
[00:16:53] They're quick fixes that don't actually fix a damn thing.
[00:16:56] Because lasting change requires time for your body, hormones, metabolism and nervous system to adapt.
[00:17:03] So that's why I've started it at 20 weeks.
[00:17:07] 20 weeks gives us enough time to identify the real problem, create a personalized plan, build sustainable habits, support metabolic healing, and create meaningful results that actually last.
[00:17:19] There is a founding cohort of 10 people.
[00:17:23] So the first 10 people, you have two options for how you want to pay and the bonuses that come with it.
[00:17:30] So for 20 weeks, roughly five months, the investment is $3,000 paid in full or six monthly payments of $600.
[00:17:39] If you want to join me for 40 weeks and do more of a transformation pathway, it's $5,500 paid in full or 11 monthly payments of 555.
[00:17:51] This is for the first 10 people to sign up only after that pricing goes up.
[00:17:57] But wait, there's more.
[00:18:00] I have some really amazing founding member bonuses. So for the first 10 people who join the 2020 project, not only will you receive this founding member pricing, lifetime access to all future course updates, bonus workshops and virtual events, and you will also be entered to win a private two day VIP retreat experience with me.
[00:18:24] So one lucky winner will receive round trip airfare, luxury accommodations, meals, private coaching, plus your choice of yoga, hiking, a spa day, and really truly personalized support, all of which is valued at $5,000.
[00:18:43] So this type of two day VIP experience is what I would typically charge five grand for.
[00:18:50] And one of the first 10 people to sign up is going to win it. Here is how you get entries. Number one. So if you enroll in the 20 week pathway, you receive one entry. If you enroll in the 40 week pathway, so roughly 10 months, you'll receive two entries.
[00:19:09] And if you enroll by Friday, June 26th, you will get a bonus entry for the winner. We'll find a time that works best for both of us and you will get your choice between coming to Nashville, Tennessee or Asheville, North Carolina.
[00:19:26] So we can do either a fun city experience or we can go out and do a mountain cabin retreat.
[00:19:33] You get to pick. I think there are two different vibes depending on what you're going for. Not only is there coaching, but you'll feel seen, supported, really pampered and taken care of for an entire weekend. And that to me just feels so fun and so exciting. As I was thinking about different bonuses, this came to mind because not only would it be something that I would want to receive, that I would love to have as a bonus, but it's something that I personally would love to deliver on. That's what gives me goosebumps. And when I get goosebumps, I know I'm on the right path. But again, this is only for the first 10 people who sign up.
[00:20:11] Now let me answer a couple of questions that have come up over the last month with multiple people that I've spoken with. So number one, do I need to take a GLP1 medication? The answer is no. The program is designed to help you identify and address the root cause of weight gain. GLP1 support is simply one tool that may be appropriate for some clients so you don't have to take it. It is not a requirement. This is where you get ownership though. I'm going to provide information so that you can make the best educated decision for yourself. I'll make a recommendation, but at the end of the day, you are in control of your life, your weight loss, your healing.
[00:20:52] Question 2 what if I have more than 20 pounds to lose? Perfect. The next 20 pounds is simply the first milestone.
[00:20:59] Many women have more weight that they'd ultimately like to lose. But sustainable transformation starts with the one next step. If you have £60 to lose, for example, come join me in this and let's start on the first £20 and let's blow your mind about what's possible and what that looks like. You can join me for the 20 week experience and then choose to renew at the end of that 20 weeks.
[00:21:24] You can also decide you have more than £20 to lose and so you want to join for that 40 week period. So that way you know you can make bigger progress over that 10 month period.
[00:21:37] Question 3 what if I only need to lose 10 to 15 pounds, you are in the right spot. Many of the women I work with are less concerned about the amount of weight that they have to lose and really more concerned about understanding why their body has changed and how to regain confidence and control around food, around how they feel, around their habits, around their emotions, and ultimately around their healing.
[00:22:02] Number four, is this a meal plan?
[00:22:05] No.
[00:22:07] You'll learn how to create a sustainable approach that works for your lifestyle, your preferences, your tastes, travel, family, your schedule, eating out, all of these aspects. But this is not a meal plan, because at the end of the day, you're the one who has to eat the food. I could give you a list or give you an example of here's what I eat, but that's really not beneficial to you. You're the one who has to put the food in your mouth. You get to be the one to decide what you actually want.
[00:22:35] And the last one, what if I've tried everything?
[00:22:39] Most women that I've worked with have tried everything that they know how at least once. The difference isn't working harder. It's identifying the right problem so that you can find the right solution. And this is where a lot of diets in the past go wrong. Number one, they typically only focus on food. Number two, sometimes you will find ones that focus on food and exercise. Very rarely will you find a program or a protocol that really looks at a whole lifestyle of solutions, including things like sleep or sunlight or hydration or stress.
[00:23:13] This is where I bring in somatic and body work tools. We bring in emotional healing and regulation.
[00:23:19] And then we also look at your metabolism, your hormones, to really create a comprehensive solution.
[00:23:27] Because at the end of the day, it is not just calories in and calories out. That myth has been debunked. That myth has been proven false time and time again. And yet we still have people in authority places. We still have doctors who are spewing this as if it is the gospel truth.
[00:23:44] How much and what you eat is one very small portion. How you move is one very small portion of the puzzle. We don't just look at quantity, though. We look at quality. We have so many other factors that we have to look at. And this is why it can feel so overwhelming, is because people are saying conflicting and contradictory things. There is so much to research and learn. How do you know what to implement and when?
[00:24:10] And that's why I'm here to guide you. That's why not only do we have zoom calls, as our schedules allow, but you have me in your back pocket Monday through Friday every week to ask questions, to get support, to get coaching, to work through a craving or an urge, to get feedback.
[00:24:29] This is what I'm here to do is to help you troubleshoot and to help you do that on the spot. That way you're not just waiting for the next week and our next call.
[00:24:38] This is a special summer 2026 offer.
[00:24:42] I'll be enrolling up to 20 people total, but the first 10 get these special bonuses. As I start hosting more workshops and events and doing more public speaking this summer, I know that these spots are going to fill up fast.
[00:24:57] So if you want to be one of the first 10 for the special pricing, the special bonuses, and this very exclusive opportunity for a VIP retreat weekend with me, you'll want to get in. Now here are two ways that you can move forward.
[00:25:13] Number one, if you already know hell yeah, I'm in, send me an email that says I'm in. That's all you gotta say and I will send you all the details so you can email jillianillian llama.com or if you have questions, concerns.
